Welcome to the Cape Cod Wedding Photographer blog. My name is Alex. Today I want to share the Dennis Inn Wedding of A&P.
Where do I even begin? My journey with Abby and Patrick started nearly two years ago in Boston. From our first meeting, discussing their wedding details and photography, their enthusiasm and vision were incredibly inspiring.
They chose The Dennis Inn for their special day, a venue I often recommend to my clients. Its rooms are bathed in natural light, making them ideal for photography, and the first floor is wonderfully versatile, perfect for a dance floor or additional cocktail hour space. The main tent, both beautiful and stylish, added an extra touch of elegance. The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, a location with sentimental value as Abby’s grandmother was married there – how romantic is that? The day itself was a joyful celebration under the bright daylight. We even had two first looks: one with the bridesmaids and another with the groom at the church.
Later, we headed to Mayflower Beach on Cape Cod for a romantic sunset and bridal party portraits. Every moment was so touching and memorable, it felt as though it was my own wedding.
Abby shares her experience of the day:
“Our wedding on October 19, 2019, was on a perfect, crisp fall day – it truly was a dream come true! We held our ceremony in the same church where my grandmother got married, which felt incredibly special. The reception was near Chapins Beach, a place close to my heart as I spent many childhood days there when my grandparents lived on the Cape. It also felt like home for my husband, whose parents live on the Cape. Our wedding was intimate, elegant, and timelessly classic. We celebrated under a white tent adorned with twinkle lights, enjoying an oyster bar and a surf & turf menu, and danced the night away to an 8-piece band inside the Dennis Inn. It was undoubtedly the best day of our lives, a day we will always cherish.”
